In my youth my heart would always leap whenever my mum plays Lion King or Land Before Time on tape as a treat. Well, kids do love cartoons. But both had similar parts which i would rather FFWD through, n that would be the parent of the main char kicking. Usually out of noble parental survival instincts. The character (Simba n Little Foot) spends time moping and wallowing n finally snaps out of it, soon becomes independant, rises to the occasion, out last whatever was in their way ( you know feel good kid stories) to live as their parents would want them to.

Something today just made me remember little foot n simba. How their deceased parent's words would echo in their heads and lead them to where they have to go.
